The story campaign can be very short, but don’t mind that fact too much, the game is highly re-playable, you can beat it once in solo, and then again but with a different character, while you can of course beat it in co-op over and over again, you will always find it fun.Ĭastle Crashers also offers two other modes, Arena and Volley Ball.

With the fact that the game is co-op based, you can only level one character at a time when playing solo, while when you play 4 player co-op, each player will level his own character. The game features many RPG elements, you can level up your character, and therefore you can choose to increase stats like Strength, Magic, Defense, and Agility. You will travel through many different locations, hacking and slashing your way, through places that range from deserts to snowy mountains, each location features a unique and tough boss that will require different tactics to beat, and you might wind up losing over and over again when playing solo. These four knights are your main characters that you start with, Fire, Ice, Poison, and Electricity, each knight specializes in these elements, thus making each one unique, so for example the Ice knight can sometimes freeze enemies, while the Poison Knight can also deal damage over time on enemies. There isn’t any story or even dialogue in the game, the plot is more or less about an evil magician stealing a precious crystal from the king, so the king sends 4 knights to beat the magician and return the crystal. Let me start off by saying this game is built around Co-op, and is the most fun while playing co-op with 3 other friends, but despite the fact that it’s co-op based, don’t let that stop you from playing it solo, the game is still enjoyable while playing alone, but you might find it not as fun and even much much harder. Perhaps one of the most wanted Xbox Live Arcade game by Playstation 3 owners is non other than Castle Crashers, with the game being released on the Xbox 360 about two years ago, its about time Playstation owners get to see what the fuzz is all about.
